The app is designed to sync with your student account. This means that once you've created custom sessions from your authority account, you must assign them to your student account. This will send the session to your student's My Sessions page. Once here, they will be ready to download onto the app. Watching Quick Start sessions from your student account will also add them to your student's My Sessions list.
The app must have a valid internet connection for you to be able to login. Once logged in, you can go to the In Cloud tab and you will see all the sessions in your student's My Session list. You can tap the download button and the session will begin to download. After the session finishes downloading, it will move to the On Device tab. This means the video is ready for offline viewing. While on the On Device tab, just click the play button for the session you would like to view.
Once viewing is done for the day, DO NOT logout of the app. Just close it. When you attempt to logout of the app, you will prompted with a warning message that says All downloaded sessions will be removed from this device.
The app must connect to the internet at least once every two weeks in order to verify that you have an active Gemiini subscription. If the app is unable to verify your subscription status, it will log you out of the app and delete your downloaded sessions. To prevent this, make sure you play at least one session while connected to the internet every 2 weeks.
It is important to remember that Gemiini Session Viewer is not a replacement for the full site. It is designed to download sessions from your student's My Sessions and provide a way to view them on the go. It does not work without an active Gemiini subscription. The app also does not remove content main site. At this point, it is currently a supplemental tool.
